Ms. Novey has more than 20 years of expertise and experience in project management, needs assessment, strategic planning, curriculum development, and training facilitation, with a primary focus on HIV/AIDS. Currently, she coordinates the High Impact Prevention (HIP) Training Coordination Center, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)-funded initiative that provides high-quality training and technical assistance (TA) on select evidence-based HIV/sexually transmitted disease/viral hepatitis prevention interventions to community-based service providers and state and local health departments through classroom trainings, eLearning courses, and the HIP Effective Interventions website.

Ms. Novey also has served as project leader on other CDC-funded initiatives, including Structural Interventions for HIV Prevention, HIV Prevention Among Injection Drug Users Through Technology Transfer, and HIV Prevention Community Planning TA. She has developed publications, conducted TA consultations, and presented at national meetings, addressing topics such as effective community engagement for health promotion and disease prevention and behavioral interventions for HIV prevention. Ms. Novey has led CDC task orders for more than 10 years and, since June 2005, has served as task leader for the Training Coordination Center task orders, which supported more than 170 in-person training deliveries in 2013.

Ms. Novey earned her M.S.P.H. in Health Policy and Planning from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a B.A. in English from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
